The true meaning of Advent is to prepare for the celebration of Jesus’ birth by reflecting on hope, peace, joy, and love. The word “Advent” comes from the Latin word for “arrival,” and the season is a period of devout and expectant delight, focusing on spiritual preparation, the history of salvation, and the future return of Christ.

Moravian Love Feast
Wednesday, December 24
10:00pm
Sanctuary
During the first century, members of the Christian church would sometimes gather for an Agape Meal (from the Greek word for “love”). The Love Feast, as it would later be known, was a time for the community to gather and share food, fellowship, and stories of God’s goodness and love. Join us in the sanctuary for a service of praise, prayer, Scripture, and the sharing of food.
