Pastor Bob’s primary hobbies are his wife, Linda, and Corinth, which is a good thing since Linda is also a colleague on the church staff. He also enjoys reading and various home projects.  The Thompsons met at Columbia Bible College (now Columbia International University) where they both graduated with bachelor’s degrees in 1978.  Bob later returned to Columbia to earn the Master of Divinity in 1987 and earned the Doctor of Ministry from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in 2003.  Bob and Linda have three grown children: Philip (Carlie), Cara, and Jeni (Matt), and two grandchildren, Arlo and Avery.

One of Pastor Bob’s favorite passages of Scripture is Hosea 6:3 “So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn and he will come to us like the rain, like the spring rain watering the earth.”
