JOB SUMMARY:  Assist in all areas of Corinth’s food service ministries

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Kitchen Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:  Agreement with our church’s faith expressed in Article IV of the church constitution and a demonstrated commitment to high standards of Christian living and service to God; Genuine love for and desire to minister in the church; Experience in large-scale food preparation and distribution; Basic math skills, including fractions, unit conversion and multiplication of recipes; Self-motivated, independent worker, who also has the ability to function as a team member under the direction of the Pastor and supervisor.

DUTIES:  Assist in planning, preparing, and serving meals; Assist in purchasing of food, beverage, and dry goods, as needed; Assist in organization of pantries, closets, and cold storage, reporting inventory needs to the Kitchen Manager; Report any malfunctions of kitchen equipment to Kitchen Manager; Assist with training and supervision of kitchen volunteers; Maintain a safe and clean working environment; Perform other duties as requested by the Pastor and supervisor.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:  Fair compensation, negotiated annually, paid bi-monthly on the 1st and 16th; The church’s share (1/2) FICA; Continuing Education expenses, subject to the Pastor or supervisor’s approval; Reimbursement for travel and ministry expenses, subject to the Pastor or supervisor’s approval; Constructive feedback and annual reviews.
